Don’t miss an exciting weekend of all things about the briny as Sea Ilfracombe Maritime Festival returns this Saturday and Sunday.

Two days of live music, tasty street food and a host of maritime activities will be on offer, centred around the pier, harbour and Ropery Road car park.

The main stage at the car park will host headliners The Dambuskers and Jim Crawford, plus a line up that includes shanty group Press Gang, Chris Millington, Rakes Adrift, The Last Rancheros and Anchors Away.

The Festival Kitchen will be running all weekend with a wide variety of cuisine on offer from traditional fish and chips to Mexican street food.

Street entertainers will include Dave Hendy, Ilfracombe Holiday Park characters and ‘Captain Jack Sparrow’ and friend causing havoc.

A host of other activities for all ages includes sailing taster sessions, try your hand at sea fishing, pavement art, a Saturday sandcastle competition and a visit on Sunday by the Waverley and Balmoral.

The festival has been sponsored by Ilfracombe Holiday Park, RGB Ilfracombe, the Ship and Pilot, Fullabrook CIC, North Devon Council and Ilfracombe Town Council.
