Rowing with heart at Green Lanes

Ilfracombe heart condition sufferer to spend a day rowing at Barnstaple shipping centre to help British Heart Foundation.

Ilfracombe man Terry Johnson will be undertaking a sponsored row in the middle of Green Lanes Shopping Centre in Barnstaple this Saturday (March 8) to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

Terry, who suffers from a heart condition himself, is hoping to complete as many miles as possible through the day, with volunteers from the charity on hand to collect donations.

The rowing machine he will be using has been loaned by Barnstaple Fire Station, but Terry will be training for the event using the facilities at Ilfracombe’s station.

Anyone who would like to sponsor him and in particular any local companies that could offer sponsorship are invited to call Terry on 07522 941577.
