Fundraisers take in more than £9,000 with two week-long Santa tour of the town.

MEMBERS of the Bideford Round Table have raised more than £9,000 for charity during their annual Santa fun run through the town.

The sleigh was steered around the local streets over a two-week period, raising a record total of £9,169.62.

The tour finished at Redrow’s College Park development, which will house 120 properties.

Simon Grice, Bideford Round Table chairman, said: “We are grateful to the many local people and Redrow who have supported the Santa Sleigh this year, helping us spread a little Christmas cheer whilst raising money for local people, clubs and organisations.”

In the past year, Bideford Round Table has supported many local charities, including Bideford Food Bank, North Devon Autism Forum and Complex Care Teams.

The money will go towards continuing the Round Table’s work with these charities.
