Find out when tickets will be released for Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Exeter - and how you can get hold of them.

Radio One’s Big Weekend is coming to Exeter in May and today details have been released on how to get tickets.

Tickets to the event on May 28 and 29 which features headlines including Coldplay, Bring Me The Horizon, Jake Bugg, Ellie Goulding and Craig David, will be released on April 4.

There are 50,000 tickets available for the free event at Powderham Castle and these will be released at 8am on Monday, April 4.

These are expected to ‘go very quickly’, according to the BBC.

Tickets can be booked online using the links on the Radio One Big Weekend website.

Of the tickets, 60 per cent will be reserved for those living within the areas covered by Exeter City Council and Teignbridge District Council.

A further 35 per cent will be reserved for residents living in surrounding parts of the South West who have other Exeter (EX) or Torquay (TQ) codes; and those with Truro (TR), Plymouth (PL), Taunton (TA) and Dorchester (DT) postcodes.

The remaining five per cent will be available to the rest of the UK.

You will need to register onlne before April 4 to secure your chance of claiming a ticket on the morning.
