Police are appealing for witnesses after a ‘trolley rider’ damaged three cars in Sunflower Road in Barnstaple last weekend.

The incident occurred at 3.50am on Saturday morning (Aug 23), and appears to have involved someone rolling down the road and hitting three vehicles along the way.

Scratches and headlight damage were reported on a Mercedes, a Honda Civic and a Ford Ka.

One witness account said the ‘trolley rider’ was a white male in his early 20s.

Anyone with information should call the police’s non-emergency number, 101, quoting crime reference CR/100613/14.
