Police appeal after assault in Northam

Man left with facial injuries after police say he was headbutted during dispute in Fore Street.

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Northam which left a 46-year-old man with facial injuries.

A police spokesman said a disagreement broke out between two men in Fore Street at around 6.30pm on Tuesday, July 15.

The victim was headbutted in the face by the other man and sustained black eyes, a split lip and a broken tooth.

The suspect was accompanied by a 10-year-old child at the time of the offences and police are appealing for witnesses to the event.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference CR/090201/14.
