Appeal after tools and radio stolen from van in Barnstaple

Police are appealing for witnesses after items were stolen from a van parked in Boutport Street, Barnstaple, yesterday (Monday) morning.

Police are appealing for witnesses after power tools and a radio were stolen from a van in broad daylight yesterday (Monday).

The van was parked outside of American Nails in Boutport Street, Barnstaple, outside of American Nails when the theft occurred.

Some time between 8.30am and 9am the items were taken from the van.

Police officers are reminding members of the public not to leave valuables in the vehicles.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “We would also advise car owners to park their vehicles in a garage or on a driveway if at all possible.

“Advice on keeping your vehicle safe from thieves can be found on the Devon and Cornwall Police website.”
