Police appeal after Barnstaple assault

A man was left with facial injuries after being attacked in Barnstaple and police are attemping to locate the suspect.

POLICE are appealing for information after a man was attacked in Barnstaple on Saturday, September 1.

The 44-year-old victim suffered facial injuries in the assault when he was punched in the face by another man.

He fell to the floor and was then punched again during the attack around 10pm outside The Holiday Shop on Queens Street.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman described the suspect as white with a tanned complexion and blonde hair.

He is believed to be around 5ft 7ins tall and of stocky build, wearing a light coloured top, khaki three-quarter length shorts and light coloured workman’s boots.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quote crime reference number CB/12/2875.
