Crealock Arms’ darts team pushed the vehicle for a marathon distance around the Bideford area.
RESIDENTS around Bideford might have looked twice on Saturday as Del Boy, Rodney, Uncle Albert and gang pushed a bright yellow Reliant Robin through town.
The strange sight was in fact members of the Crealock Arms’ darts team, the Ricochets, taking part in their annual fundraising activities.
Dressed as the cast of Only Fools and Horses, the team pushed the vehicle the equivalent of a marathon from Asda in Bideford to Littleham.
On their way they passed through Abbotsham, Westward Ho!, Appledore, Northam, Bideford and finished at the Crealock Arms for a well deserved pint.
Along the way they stopped at different pubs and collected donations for the Children’s Holiday Foundation and Little Bridge House.
Rick Morgan, landlord at the Crealock in Littleham, dressed as Trigger for the day and said: “It went very well, and we’re now going to sell the car to top up our total.
“Last year we pushed a bathtub around – this year the route was not quite so steep but it was a little bit longer.
“When we stopped at the First In Last Out in Bideford we happened across a wedding reception and posed with the bride for a photo.
“We’re still counting the money so we wouldn’t like to say how much we have raised just yet.”
The team is looking to start counting together its fundraising this evening (Tuesday).
