The A361 was closed for several hours on Saturday afternoon following the collision between a car and a motorhome.

A woman was taken to hospital on Saturday after a collision involving a Vauxhall corsa and a motorhome at Ashford.

The A361 road was closed for several hours just after 1.30pm after the crash outside of Trelawney Garden Centre.

Fire crews from Barnstaple and Braunton were scrambled to the scene to cut the woman from the car who was taken to North Devon District Hospital.

A police spokesman said they could not provide an update on the nature of her injuries.
