Police are looking to locate 48-year-old Nicholas Rowell - can you help?

POLICE in Barnstaple are appealing for information to locate a man sought in connection with a number of burglaries and thefts.

Officers are currently seeking to locate Nicholas Rowell, 48, who is suspected to be actively involved in burglaries and thefts.

A police spokesman said: “He regularly obtains employment in the tourist industry by using a false CV and when the opportunity arises he steals from his employers and their staff.”

In the latest incident which occurred at Baggy’s Cafe in Croyde on April 22, property including a Land Rover was stolen, which was later recovered in Somerset.

Rowell is described as a white man, approximately 6’1in height, of slim build, with short cropped hair which is mostly grey in colour. He speaks with a Mdlands accent.

Police ask that if anyone recognises or sees this man that they contact police on 101 quoting police reference CN/14/145.
