POLICE are currently diverting traffic around a car in Barnstaple which has flipped onto its roof.

The Citroen Xsara Picasso was involved in a collision with a Range Rover on Alexandra Road at around 10am today (Tuesday).

The driver of the Citroen managed to remove himself from the car and a police spokesman said there appeared to be no injuries.

Fire and ambulance services were scrambled to the scene and the vehicle is currently awaiting recovery.

Motorists are advised to approach the area with caution.
