FREMINGTON’S traditional procession in the run up to Easter saw Charlie the donkey joined by ‘Jesus and his disciples’ on Palm Sunday.

The group – and Charlie - made their way to St Peter’s Parish Church in the village and inside for the annual service to mark the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem as it is told in the Easter story.

This Good Friday there is a Family Procession from 2pm at Fremington Quay, with fun activities enroute as it makes its way to the church for 3pm, followed by refreshments and fun in the Church Hall after.

There was also a Palm Sunday procession at Bideford with a parade from the Kingsley statue to St Mary’s Parish Church.
