Fire crews called out to fire in oven of property after alarms were sounded.

Two fire engines were called to a house in Ethelwynne Brown Close in East-the-Water on Monday night after reports of alarms activating.

There was also reported to be a small amount of smoke in the property and fire crews from Bideford went to investigate.

They found a small fire had occurred in the kitchen of the property just before midnight, confined to the oven.

This was out on arrival and crews made the area safe before leaving.
