THE CEO of a North Devon charity met the Prime Minister last week at a special reception at 10 Downing Street.

Tony Potter, of The Calvert Trust, visited the occasion on July 17 to celebrate the work being done to support the Armed Forces Covenant.

Mr Potter represented The Calvert Trust in his role as project leader for the Armed Forces Covenant (LIBOR) funded project, Uniting Service Families with Disabilities.

During the reception Mr Potter met Prime Minster David Cameron, senior government officials and representatives from a wide range of charities and organisations.

He said: “It was a great honor and a privilege to represent The Calvert Trust at the Prime Minister’s reception and for the trust’s contribution to the armed forces community to be recognised at the highest level”.

The Calvert Trust has received LIBOR funding this year to help more than 120 armed forces families.

This support is open to serving, reserve and veteran armed forces families with a disabled service person, partner or child in the family.
