Emergency accommodation for rough sleepers is being provided by North Devon Council during the current cold snap.
From October to March, rough sleepers can stay overnight at Salvation Army Hall, Oakleigh Road, Barnstaple if the temperature drops to freezing, or below freezing, for three nights in a row.
The council has said the current period of emergency shelter is likely to run until tomorrow (Thursday) morning.
When the service is operational, doors will open at 9pm on a Monday and Tuesday, and 8pm Wednesday to Sunday. Last admittance is 10pm. After 10pm clients can only be referred in by the police or the council out-of-hours team.
Clients are offered hot food on arrival in the evening and breakfast prior to leaving in the morning.
To find out when the emergency night shelter is open contact The Salvation Army on 01271 321972, check at any council office reception or at Barnstaple Police Station.
