Now in its third year, the annual Christmas market in Braunton will have 150 stalls this year
Braunton is gearing up to host what could be the biggest Christmas market in the South West this year.
North Devon Christmas Market returns to the village for the third time on Saturday, December 2 and will once again be held on and around Caen Street car park.
The market is the brainchild of Neil Hampson and his company Ginger Monkey Events and has proved a huge success from the first.
This year Neil is following the popular all day market format established last year, running from 3-11pm to complement late night shopping in the village.
There will be up to 150 stalls offering everything from arts and crafts and Christmas goodies to street food and local produce.
There will be trampolines and bouncy castles, live music, dance groups, a hog roast, bar and much more.
Santa’s sleigh will be on hand courtesy of Braunton Caen Rotary.
The market is now fully booked and Neil said people were already trying to book for next year.
Because the former tree on the green has been cut down Neil is providing a new 20-foot Christmas tree for this year from North Devon Christmas Trees.
He said: “Last year was a really good model and worked really well and it’s going to be even bigger this year.”
