New North Devon festival will be a wellie-good time

The BIG Sheep will be celebrating all things wellington boot this summer in aid of North Devon Hospice.
A quirky new North Devon festival with a difference is being set up to raise funds for a good cause.
The BIG Sheep will stage The Great British Wellie Festival at its Abbotsham site from June 30 to July 2.
The festival aims to ‘celebrate the great British wellington boot in all its guises’, while embracing all things festival such as live music, fashion and fun.
Proceeds from the three-day event will go to the North Devon Hospice.
Among the events held over the course of The Great British Wellie Festival are a creative events including fashion competition to find the most boot-iful festival outfits and a wellie parade giving visitors the chance to jazz up their boots.
The festival will culminate in a barn dance in the BIG Sheep’s EWE2, with live bands local bands sound-tracking the fun.
Alongside the festivities is a beer festival showcasing the Westcountry’s finest beers as well as a twist on the attraction’s famous Grand National.
