Tributes have been paid to the man who died in hopsital after being found in the Two Pots area of Ilfracombe.

A MAN who was found with head injuries in Ilfracombe and later died in hospital has been named locally as Aaron Stevens.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of murder after Mr Stevens was found on the New Barnstaple Road in the Two Potts area yesterday (Sunday).

Tributes have been paid to the father-of-three by friends on his Facebook profile today.

Gem Blight said: “Shocked! Rest in Peace Aaron... You won’t be forgotten! Thoughts are with your family at this very sad time x”

Natasha Lerwill posted: “You were so troubled we all tried to help you darling , but you never ever deserved to go like this.

“I make one promise I will make sure your three boys will keep you in their memory. Love you now and always my brother. All my love your one and only sister sleep tight.”

Jade E Robinson said: “R.I.P Aaron so sad to hear you have gone!! Have had some good memories with you!

“You’re a good bloke, you will be missed and never forgotten!”

Dean Whitehead wrote: “RIP m8! Feels only like yesterday we was kids giving each other crap about our footy teams specially who had best firm! Il miss u loads m8 and so gutted for ur lovely family we will never forget u m8 sleep tight.”

Naomi Porter posted: “Rip cuz you are going to be so missed but now a bright star lots of love sweetheart xxxx.”

Police said formal identification would not be confirmed until at least tomorrow.

Two men, aged 47 and 38 and from Ilfracombe, were arrested at the scene and remain in police custody.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference 931 of June 8 2014.
