Entries open for guys-only charity walk in March

A guys-only charity walk with a difference is returning for its second year in March.

The ‘Man Trek’, which includes a free pasty and pint along the way, is back after a successful first event earlier this year, which raised £46,000 for North Devon Hospice.

Man Trek, again sponsored by Applegate Marketplace, makes its return on March 9, 2014 with three different routes available. You can take on the 11 miles from Bideford Rugby Club to Barnstaple Rugby club (or vice versa) or take the shorter seven-mile route between Instow Yacht Club and Barnstaple Rugby Club.

All three routes finish with a pint of St Austell beer and the England v Wales Six Nations rugby match on the big screens.

Last year’s event completely sold out, and the Hospice is hoping to see even more money raised this year to help them celebrate their 30th anniversary and help local people affected by cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
