A woman is awaiting questioning by police over a stabbing incident in Bideford yesterday.

The incident occurred around lunchtime on Stucley Road, and a 37 year old woman has been arrested in conjunction with the incident.

A male victim was taken to hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.

The woman is from the Bideford area, and police believe she was known to the victim.

The police are not looking for any more suspects but if any members of the public were in the Stucley Road yesterday between 12-1pm and witnessed any altercation between a male and female then police are urging them to come forward.
