Man kicked in head during Barnstaple assault

Police are appealing for witnesses after a group attacked two men leaving one hospitalised with head injuries.

A MAN received serious facial and head injuries after being attacked by a group of men in Barnstaple in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The 25-year-old was kicked repeatedly in the head while he was on the floor in Maiden Street and had to go to hospital for his injuries.

Another 22-year-old victim was also attacked by the group of four to six men receiving cuts and bruises to the face. The attack on the pair occurred some time between 3.30am and 4am.

It is believed the group had attended the Venue night club earlier in the evening.

The police are very keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the attack or be able to give any information regarding those involved.
