Will you be joining the big march through the centre of Barnstaple tomorrow (Saturday) to show your support for North Devon’s hospital services?
A red dragon turned out in Torrington today (Friday) in the build up to tomorrow’s big North Devon Sees Red event in Barnstaple.
The dragon and members of Save Our Hospital Services appeared in the centre of Torrington to garner support for the big protest against health cuts in North Devon.
Tomorrow (Saturday) a thousand and more marchers will gather at Mermaid Walk in Barnstaple at 11am and make their way along the High Street via Butchers Row to the Square.
At the Square there will be speakers, live music and entertainment.
People can wear red, don red face paint or bring red banners and musical instruments – businesses are urged to deck their windows in red.
With the Success Regime review running alongside NHS England’s sustainability and transformation plan (STP) there are fears acute services at North Devon District Hospital (NDDH) such as stroke, maternity, A and E, paediatrics and neonatal could face cutbacks.
