CHILDREN from St Margaret’s School in Northam have helped launch a new-look Co-operative Food store in Westward Ho!

Youngsters joined store manager Paul Maynard to cut the ribbon and unveil a £175,000 refurbishment featuring new signage and décor, as well as an improved bakery and new eco-refrigeration.

Mr Maynard said: “Upgrading the store will freshen up the shopping experience and improve the vitality of the area, so I look forward to welcoming customers into the new-look store.”

It wasn’t a bad morning’s work for St Margaret’s youngsters, who picked up a £200 donation for their school as a thank-you from the retailer.
