High praise from Ofsted for Barnstaple nursery and pre-school

A BARNSTAPLE nursery and pre-school owner says she is ‘ecstatic’ with their ‘outstanding’ Ofsted report.

Sarah Silvester, who has run Whiddon Valley-based nursery Kiddywinks since 2003, said: “I’m very proud of an amazing team.

“The feedback from parents has been really positive – one parent was quite emotional when we told her and said she was really happy her son could experience something like this.”

The nursery, which currently has 70 children on its books, is ‘fully inclusive’ and the ‘staff structure the environment so that all children are valued, included and learn from each other’ the Ofsted report reads.

And Sarah said the nursery ‘was always looking for more children’.

The report also said that ‘staff support children’s physical development exceptionally well’ and commended the ‘very well-resourced garden’.
