Work on the fishermens

Work on the fishermens' facilities on the Cove side of Ilfracombe Harbour could begin in the autumn if a grant bid is successful.

Archant

If a grant bid is successful it is hoped work on fishermen’s facilities can begin in the autumn.

Work on the new fishermen’s stores at the Cove in Ilfracombe could begin this autumn if a funding bid is successful, the town’s Harbour Board will hear today (Tuesday).

North Devon Council hopes to hear this month if its application to the Coastal Communities Fund will scoop a catch. Planning consent has already been granted.

The money will match that already approved by the Marine Management Organisation under Axis 3 of the European Fisheries Fund.
