Ilfracombe hen night ends in suspected GBH

Police investigating after bride-to-be was left with a nasty head wound after a night out.

A bride-to-be was left with a nasty head wound after an alleged assault during her hen night in Ilfracombe.

Police said it took place at around 1.30am on June 29 during what appeared to be a major disturbance near The Club in the High Street.

The victim was taken to hospital with cuts that required stitches and police are treating the alleged attack as grievous bodily harm.

There have been no arrests as yet, but if anyone witnessed anything or has any information, they are asked to contact DC Mick Dean via 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, quoting CR/086397/14.
