Man suffers multiple stab wounds after attack in Holsworthy

Detectives have launched an investigation after a fight in Holsworthy left a man with multiple stab wounds.

Police and ambulances were called to North Road at 12.40am this morning (Wednesday) to reports of the stabbing following a fight involving multiple men.

The 29-year-old victim suffered 10 stab wounds. Police have described two of them as more serious.

He is currenty in a stable condition after being taken to North Devon District Hospital by ambulance and his injuries are not life-threatening.

An investigation is now underway, with police and the local authority working with residents in the area.

A 26-year-old man from Holsworthy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is in police custody.
