A SOUTH Molton PCSO has been honoured for his efforts to protect his local community.
PCSO Paul Whitehouse from the town’s neighbourhood team was singled out for intelligence work that led to a youth being recalled to a young offenders’ institution for breaching the terms of a court order.
PCSO Whitehouse was awarded a Local Policing Area (LPA) Commander’s Certificate of Merit in recognition for his efforts at an awards ceremony at Barnstaple Guildhall.
He said: “It is a pleasure to receive a Commander’s Certificate from Superintendent Kevin Harris and pleasing for me that my efforts have been recognised in this way.
“I do, however, simply go about my business on a day-to-day basis and look to serve the community in the best way I can in order to meet their expectations and needs.”
