Handbag stolen from parked car near Westleigh

Dog walker came back to car parked along B3233 to find her car window smashed and handbag gone.

POLICE are appealing for information after a handbag was stolen from a car parked in a layby near Westleigh yesterday (Tues).

A woman had parked her car along the B3233 between Tapeley Park and the Westleigh Roundabout to walk her dog at around 2.25pm.

But when she returned to the car the window had been smashed and her handbag had gone. Her credit card was later used at an ATM.

Police are reminding people to not leave valuables in their cars and asked anyone with any information to call 101 quoting crime ref: CB/14/733.
