LEAVE behind the shopping bags. The Tarka Trail will host the Chemotherapy Appeal’s trolley push on Sunday September 21.

The 4.5km push will begin at Fremington Quay and end at the Tesco Extra in Barnstaple.

Each trolley requires a team of four.

One person must sit in the trolley wearing a crash helmet whilst teammates push it towards the finish.

The event is aimed towards ages 16+ and fancy dress is definitely encouraged.

Any suitable non-motorised vehicle with a minimum of three wheels can be used.

Tesco’s have offered a limited number of trolleys and free Chemotherapy Appeal t-shirts are also available.

12 teams have already signed up to the event.

“The Fundraising Team has been practicing this event and it was unanimous that I don’t steer very well”, said fundraiser Julie Whitton.

Maybe you can steer your team and the appeal towards success.

The entry fee is only £5 per person or £20 per team, and the Hospital Charity asks each person to raise a minimum of £25 per person in sponsorship or £100 per team.

Details and sponsorship forms can be found on www.northdevonhealth.nhs.uk/fundraising. Alternatively contact the Fundraising Team on 01271 311772 or email ndht.charity@nhs.net.
