SOMERSAULT Festival’s artist in residence has released a series of images capturing scenes from over the weekend.
Simon Page spent the weekend with crayons and paintbrushes in hand creating drawings of revellers enjoying the sunshine at the debut festival at Castle Hill Estate.
Mr Page has exhibited at solo and group shows in the UK for more than 20 years an dis currently working on a sequence of drawings recording life at Harrow School.
He lives and works in London and describes his work as ‘made out of the moment’ in contrast to a studio environment.
Mr Page’s images ranged from parties in the Chai Wallahs tent and erecting the main stage to early birds on the campsite and people swimming in the river.
