NORTH Devon could experience a blustery afternoon tomorrow (Saturday) with gale force winds expected to hit parts of the South West.

A yellow weather warning covers the North Devon area from 2pm until 11.55pm with gusts of up to 50 or 60mph expected.

A chief forecaster for the Met Office said: “An area of low pressure will move eastwards across northern Britain on Saturday.

“As it does so, a swathe of very strong westerly winds will cross South West England during the second half of Saturday.

“In addition, some heavy blustery showers are likely.

“The exact extent of the strongest winds remains somewhat uncertain.”
