Fuel leak in South Molton

Fire crews called to fuel leak from a van in Nadder Meadow.

A VAN was leaking fuel onto a public highway at Nadder Meadow in South Molton on Sunday lunchtime.

Fire crews from the town arrived at the scene to find a container of fuel in the back of the van leaking at around 12.15pm.

Police contacted the owner of the vehicle while fire fighters absorbed the fuel using an Environment Agency kit and hose reel jet.

Duty of care was left in the hand of the owner who later attended the scene.
