The Environment Agency has issued a fresh flood alert for areas of North Devon today (Mon).
FLOOD alerts have been issued for Barnstaple, Braunton, Combe Martin and Ilfracombe as a band of heavy rain is set to move across the region today (Mon).
The Met Office has also issued a yellow weather warning for rain from 4am today until 6pm.
A spokesman for the forecasters said: “A spell of rain, heavy in places, will move east across England and Wales during Monday, with the most persistent heavy rain likely to affect areas of high ground in western parts exposed to the very strong south-westerly winds.
“The main area of rain will clear eastwards from these areas during the afternoon.”
The Environment Agency said flooding is possible for the Rivers Caen, Bradiford Water and Yeo, as well as coastal streams from Braunton to Combe Martin.
Low lying land and roads will be affected first.
