One person was treated for smoke inhalation as five crews battled the blaze.
FIVE fire engines were scrambled to a barn in Bradworthy which caught fire yesterday afternoon (Tues).
A call came in at 1pm reporting a barn was on fire with livestock and vehicles in the vicinity.
Four fire engines from Hartland, Holsworthy, Bude and Barnstaple attended the scene, and called for an incident support unit from Ilfracombe.
An ambulance also attended to treat a person for smoke inhalation.
The barn, measuring 20 metres by 40 metres was well alight, and crews used three hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and a safety jet to protect the property.
Crews allowed the barn, which contained hay and straw, to burn in a controlled manner, while all animals and vehicles were moved to safety.
