Fire station holds appreciation evening for employers of retained fire fighters

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue wanted to show its appreciation for the support of local employers.
EMPLOYERS of retained fire fighters in Holsworthy have been awarded for their support to the fire service.
Holsworthy Fire Station held an employers evening where primary employers were presented with a certificate of appreciation and a framed picture.
The Mayor and local councillors were also invited and the group watched demonstrations of a rescue from height involving co-responding skills to treat the casualty.
Mark Saunders, station manager, said: “Events like this do much to highlight the important and diverse nature of the work that we do, to acknowledge the commitment of our retained employees and give us the opportunity to thank the employers.”
