Fire fighters tackle chimney fire in Ilfracombe

Two crews were called to reports of a fire in the area of the war memorial on Tuesday.
TWO fire engines were scrambled to reports of a building on fire in the area of the war memorial in Ilfracombe yesterday (Tues).
Upon arrival, crews discovered the fire involved a chimney of a property in Wilder Road.
They arrived at around 6.30pm and used chimney gear to extinguish the fire in the flue.
