Fire engine called to chimney fire

Crews extinguished the fire involving a wood burner as the nights begin to get colder.

FIRE crews worked to extinguish a chimney fire in West Putford on Sunday evening.

A fire engine from Holsworthy was called to Wheelers Cross at around 9.15pm.

Crews used small tools, chimney gear and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire involving a wood burning stove.
