Police requested the fire crew from Barnstaple attend the scene to isolate the water supply.
A FIRE crew from Barnstaple had to gain entry to a property which was flooding the flat below it yesterday (Monday).
Police requested the fire engine from Barnstaple to help them enter the property in Castle Street at around 8.40pm.
On arrival the fire crews found the water was entering the downstairs property from the one above it.
They used small tools to enter the second floor flat and isolate the water supply, before leaving duty of care with the occupier.
