Fire crews called to smell of burning at hospital

An investigation found a burning smell coming from a light fitting in Bideford Hospital.
FIRE crews were called to Bideford Hospital this morning (Thur) to reports of a smell of burning and alarms activating.
The two fire engines from Bideford and Appledore arrived at the hospital just before 9am.
Upon arrival they found a smell of burning coming from a light fitting but no sign of any fire.
Further investigations found there had been a small fire involving the choke in a florescent light fitting.
