Driver reports fire on school bus

Luckily no people were on the bus at the time as two fire engines were scrambled to the scene.

FIRE crews were called to reports of a school minibus on fire outside Torrington Police station this afternoon (Wed).

The driver reported the fire at 3.20pm and two fire engines from Torrington and Bideford were scrambled to the scene in Hatchmoor Road.

No people were inside the vehicle at the time and the fire was out by the time fire fighters arrived.

No people were involved or injured in the incident.

Fire crews made the vehicle safe and left duty of care with the driver.
