Dog rescued from Bampton quarry

A SPECIAL rescue team from Barnstaple were called out to Bampton on Tuesday evening after reports of a dog stuck in a quarry.

The fire crew arrived at Kersdown Quarry at around 7.20pm to find the springer spaniel 30ft down the quarry site.

With help from a crew from, Bampton, the dog was rescued using ropes and special rescue equipment, and reunited with his owner.
