Ilfracombe Dogs Trust is holding an open event for people to find out about volunteering.

Dogs Trust is holding an open evening on March 18 at its rehoming centre for people to find out about new volunteering opportunities.

Dog lovers are being urged to come along to the centre between 6pm and 7.30pm and find out about the roles.

As well as meeting some resident pooches and staff, there will be refreshments and a chance to tour the kennels.

Roles available include kennel assistants, who help with walking dogs and general cleaning, and home visitors who visit potential new homes for the canines.

There’s a home from home scheme where dog lovers can foster their four-legged friends, and events volunteers are needed to help represent the charity.

Call 01271 812709 for more information or visit the centre at West Down, Ilfracombe, North Devon, EX34 8NU.
