‘Deliberate’ bedroom fire in Barnstaple

Two fire engines attended the scene in Lethaby road yesterday evening (Mon).

TWO fire engines were called out to reports of a fire within a bedroom of a house in Lethaby Road in Barnstaple yesterday evening (Mon).

Crews from Barnstaple discovered the small fire in the bedroom at 6.45pm.

They extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet.

The cause is believed to be deliberate.
