Schemes in Braunton and ilfracombe receive grants from North Devon Council.

North Devon Council’s executive has agreed to give more than £34,000 to community projects in Braunton and Ilfracombe.

Councillors agreed to release £25,000 for Braunton Recreation Ground’s changing room refurbishment project, taking the total funding provided to £62,000.

At the same meeting, they agreed to allocate £9,000 to a project at St James Park in Ilfracombe, to help towards the cost of enhancing the park, making better use of harbour viewpoints plus improving seating and signage.

The grants came from section 106 money paid in by developers as part of the planning process.
