Marketing bureau launches competition to find North Devon Photographer of the Year.
Have you got what it takes to become the North Devon Marketing Bureau’s (NDMB) North Devon Photographer of the Year?
The Gazette, BlueFrog Media and J&A Cameras have teamed up with the bureau to launch a new competition to help capture what people really love about the area.
Photographers – amateur and professional – can upload their pictures to a special Facebook competition page between now and March 31.
Their work will be used to help promote North Devon as a tourism destination – part of the bureau’s Love North Devon promotion.
Bureau chairman Nick White said: “North Devon is a beautiful, picturesque location and we’re looking forward to seeing the talent of local photographers to share, and entice others to visit the area.
“We’re looking for entries that really capture what people love about North Devon; from the beautiful beaches to the idyllic landscapes – get creative, but most of all, have fun.”
The winning entry will be chosen on March 31 by panel of judges from the bureau, J&A Cameras and the Gazette.
It will be featured in the Gazette and the winning photographer will also receive and a J&A Cameras portrait session worth £100.
A highly commended will win a one-to-one photography tuition session with J&A Cameras.
Andy Robinson of J&A Cameras said: “To support growing talent in North Devon is wonderful, and we can’t wait to see the images submitted from both amateurs and photography enthusiasts alike.”
