Construction equipment worth £8,800 taken from Forches site

The specialist pieces of equipment were taken from the building site in Barnstaple overnight.

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after £8,800 worth of construction tools were stolen from a building site in Forches, Barnstaple.

Thieves gained entry to a container some time between 5pm on March 27 and 7am on March 28 in a construction yard.

In the morning workers found a number of tools missing including chainsaws, laser measuring tools, and work stations.

Some of the individual pieces of equipment were valued up to £5,000 each.

Police are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious, including any unknown vehicles, in the area that night to contact them.
