A Chulmleigh author has dipped his toe into the Cold War for his latest novel.

Cries from the Frozen North by Colin Beazley will take the reader on a journey to the Arctic where two nations battle to maintain the global balance, and where one man strives to discover the truth.

Colin says the story of intrigue and deceit is based on based on real events and exposes the human and environmental price that is still being paid after a nuclear-armed bomber crashed in Greenland.

He said: “It’s a love story, a story of hope and deceit, but, above all, it’s a piece of fiction firmly based on real events.”

Colin will be at Swimbridge Christmas Fair on Saturday, November 25 between 10am-4pm to chat about his new novel and sign copies.

The book is £7.99 and is available as a paperback and an e-book from Amazon, Waterstones and all good bookshops.
