Barnstaple garden centre sells special rose to mark hospice anniversary.

A SPECIAL anniversary rose to support the 30th birthday at North Devon Hospice is now in flower at the Trelawney@Ashford.

All proceeds from the sale of the ‘Pearl Anniversary’ rose are being donated to the hospice, the garden centre’s chosen charity of the year.

Peter Burks, regional manager, said: “We teamed up with national grower Paul Chessum Roses to pick a rose that best represented the charity and we thought ‘Pearl Anniversary’ would be the perfect fit.”

The ‘Pearl Pink’ rose will grow to around two feet high and likes plenty of sunlight.

It is available to buy for £9.99 and £2 from each sale will be donated to the hospice.

Ali Hunt, head of fundraising at the hospice, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled by Trelawney@Ashford’s kind gesture of launching a rose dedicated to the hospice. We really appreciate everything it does to help raise money for us.”
